This is the final stage between the first portion of transitional treatment and sober living and is designed to ease the strain surrounding re-entry to the local outside community. Clients will be involved in the surrounding community, yet remain in close contact with the facility. They will continue individual and group therapy sessions with their primary care therapist. The challenges and opportunities of living a substance free lifestyle are discussed processed and planned. At A Sober Way Home, we understand the significance of and courage required to take this next step toward applying all that the individual has learned without the direct support and accountability of the therapeutic process.
The importance of a thorough Aftercare Plan is vital to ensure consistency and personal accountability moving forward from treatment. During this stage, the client is further prepared for the reality of living outside of treatment. The client is encouraged, supported, empowered and confronted when necessary. This crucial stage helps lessen the potentially disastrous gap between life in a facility and life in the outside world. It is our goal to equip our clients with the education, awareness and clarity to live productive, healthy, clean and stable lives. One Day at a Time.
